January 12-23

Students will look closely at pictures and do "close reads" with books. They will practice expressing what they notice and wonder and will often have partner or group discussions. Through this practice they will learn how to express their own point of view and build on others ideas.
We will build important reading and writing skills and at the end of the year students should be able to attempt to write and spell new words phonetically, read and write common words such as where and every, and write complete sentences with correct capitalization and punctuation.

I have 3 kids who are my blessings outside of the classroom. My youngest is here at GreenWood too! I love all things Star Wars, walking my 2 labs, Finn and Chewie, and all things outside. Bike riding, kayaks, paddleboards, snowshoeing, you name it.
Be somebody who makes everyone feel like somebody.
