Educating the Whole Child.

Utah Serviceberry Tree Classroom

3rd grade

As a third student at Greenwood Charter School our time is spent exploring topics related to animal adaptations, the water cycle, and education around the world. Our teachers specialize which gives students access to instruction from experts in the fields of ELA/reading and math/science. Students read both informational text and literature pieces on a variety of topics and use these pieces as models to guide our writing. We will also sharpen our skills in multiplication, division, and telling time.

a little about me

Email >

Born in Utah, I grew up in the local area as well as in Idaho. My family ended up moving back to Utah and I graduated from Morgan High. Throughout college, I struggled to find a degree that matched my passion. Thankfully, I found a degree in Heath Promotion where I was able to focus on Mind and Body Wellness and Suicide Prevention. I graduated from Weber State University in 2017 and entered the world of education. Over the last several years, I've had the opportunity to volunteer with the Northern Utah Hope Task Force (NUHOPE), raise awareness about suicide prevention, train Hope Squads, and help plan local suicide awareness events, as well as assist with programs at the YMCA and The Boys and Girls Club of America.

I married my wife in 2011, and together we have two children. I love spending time with my family and dog. I have a passion for photography, and not only is it a great hobby but a great tool for mindfulness.  I love spending time outdoors where I can appreciate the beauty of Utah.

I AM EXCITED AND HONORED TO BE A PART OF THE STAFF AT GREENWOOD CHARTER.
