Welcome to 2nd Grade! We are thrilled to have you join us as we learn and grow! In 2nd grade we explore and learn in many different ways with a focus on FUN with purpose!
Throughout the year, all second grade students will become more experienced readers, researchers, and writers as they explore the world around them, as well as the earth long ago, through Expeditionary Learning.
We learn in complex ways and strive to build an appreciation for learning across all subjects!

Mrs. Klingele is a 2nd grade teacher at Greenwood Charter School. This is her first year at Greenwood and her second year teaching 2nd grade. Before becoming a classroom teacher, she spent four years as an environmental educator, inspiring children to explore the outdoors through hands-on learning experiences. Originally from a small suburb of Kansas City, she now enjoys taking advantage of Utah's beautiful mountains by hiking, skiing, and birding with her husband. She also loves spending time with her baby boy and making memories together as a family.
Mrs. Klingele is passionate about creating a classroom where every student feels valued, encouraged, and excited to learn. She believes that the most meaningful learning happens when students are willing to ask questions, show kindness and grace to one another, work hard through challenges, and celebrate each other's successes. One of her greatest hopes is that her students leave her classroom knowing they are capable of overcoming challenges, making the best of difficult situations, and achieving more than they ever thought possible. She wants every child to believe that perseverance, a positive attitude, and a willingness to keep trying can lead to success both inside and outside the classroom.
