a little about me

Email >

I am Jessica McNeely. The kids call me Mrs. M. This is my 3rd year teaching 4th Grade here at GreenWood. Before I became a teacher, I worked as a para for 3 years. I graduated from Utah State University in 2024, where I earned my Bachelors of Science and a minor in Human and Family Development. I was inspired to become a teacher after having several teachers that supported me during my education. Knowing that I had support from fantastic educators, I wanted to have the same impact on the upcoming generations. I love that GreenWood gives the students the support that they need to be successful.

My husband and I have been married for 8 years. We met in the 6th Grade and have been together ever since. Together we have 3 labs, a chocolate lab named Briley, a black lab named Cache, and a yellow lab named Delta. We also have horses, goats, chickens, cats, and a turtle. Outside of school, I love spending time outside with my family. I also crafting, including making quilts and crocheting.

I love our GreenWood motto! I love educating the whole child, not just through academics. One thing that I hope all of my students learn from me is that it is okay to make mistakes. When we make mistakes, we are given an opportunity to learn and fix our understanding.
