Kindergarten

In Kindergarten at Greenwood Charter School we focus on educating the whole child through centers, play, and hands on learning. For Math and Reading we follow the Utah Common Core State Standards. We are currently using the Eureka Math Curriculum and the Reading Horizons Curriculum. We also use the EL curriculum in Kindergarten where we focus on Toys and Play, Weather, and Trees. We practice mindfulness, movement breaks, and social emotional building. Kindergarten is a great place to be!

Hello! My name is Mandy Toone, but my students call me Mrs Toone. This year will be my third year teaching at GreenWood and my second year in kindergarten.  

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 19 years and our family. We love being outdoors, whether we’re fishing, hiking, biking, golfing, swimming, exercising, or skiing.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies from Western Governors University (WGU) while working as a paraprofessional at our local elementary school.  I am excited to continue helping my students develop a love of learning and watching them grow throughout the school year!


I love building meaningful relationships with my students and their families while creating a positive, engaging classroom where every child grows and succeeds.
