October 26-29
SPED Secretary
I have been a part of the Greenwood community for the past 10 years, serving in a variety of roles including intervention paraprofessional, special education paraprofessional, first-grade teacher, and now Special Education Coordinator. I have earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education degree as well as other certificates & trainings.
I chose a career in education because I love helping children learn and grow. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a concept finally "click" for a student and watching their confidence soar. My goal is to help every child develop a love of learning while ensuring they feel valued, capable, and supported. I especially appreciate Greenwood's commitment to educating the whole child by nurturing academic growth alongside social-emotional well-being, healthy lifestyles, and meaningful outdoor learning experiences.
A little bit about me personally, I am married and we have two teenage sons. Our family enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, boating, fishing, and exploring together. I also love reading, playing games, dancing, and playing soccer and softball among other sports. One fun fact about me is that I also co-own and teach at a dance studio, where I enjoy sharing my passion for learning as well as my passion for dance with students of all ages.
