Liz Hallabrin

K-8 Mental Health Counselor and 7-8 School Counselor

I am Liz Hallabrin and I am the mental health counselor and 7-8 school counselor at Greenwood. I have been in education as a special education paraprofessional, Playworks Coach, a 6th grade teacher, and a 3rd grade teacher. I have been at Greenwood since 2022 and have loved every second of it! The aspect I enjoy about Greenwood the most is Crew. Crew is a place where everyone can show up as they are and are appreciated for their true self.

I have a Masters in Teaching and Masters in Education focusing on trauma, resilience, and restorative justice for Westminster University. I have completed a Masters in Science in School Counselor along with a Masters in Science in Mental Health Counseling. I believe that education is the most powerful tool to change the world.

My partner (Matt), my kids (Bruin and Maple Ann), my dog (Gretzky), and my mom (Hoop) are a part of my core unit. I am from Ohio and often travel to celebrate my close knit friend group back east. I am a huge sports fan and a season ticket holder for The Utah Mammoth hockey team. I am a Buckeye (OH-IO), Browns, Guardians, Green Bay, McLaren, and Rory McIlroy fan. When we aren’t cheering, we are supporting local events, spending time at Glen Lake in Michigan, or being with our people moving and grooving.
